iQOO, Vivo’s sub-brand that functions as an independent entity in India, has announced a handful of smartphones since its debut last year. But it seems that smartphones are not the only products iQOO is interested in launching. Based on some recent trademark applications filed by Vivo, iQOO has some bigger ambitions up its sleeves.
Vivo has filed trademark applications for ‘iQOO PAD’ and ‘iQOOBOOK’ and these point towards tablets and notebooks that iQOO might have in the pipeline. According to GizmoChina, these trademark applications were filed in June.
iQOO’s tablet and notebook plans are hardly surprising since most other Chinese companies have wider portfolios that include more products than just smartphones. A brand like Redmi has TVs, Notebooks and washing machines under it.
Importantly though, iQOO might not launch a tablet or a notebook anytime soon and this is Vivo just securing these trademarks. However, in most cases, securing a trademark does mean that there are plans for the products in question and they might be brought to the market soon.
iQOO will be launching the iQOO 5 smartphone next which is going to come with 120W fast charging and a 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone is also pegged to come with a 120Hz display and the Snapdragon 865 under the hood.
